The founder of the company, Richard Gutermuth, has spent over 25 years in the industry, and has held key management positions at several leading POS/ERP companies, including CSD, Activant, and Spruce Computer Systems. Richard has also served as a member of the NLBMDA Manufacturers & Services Council, and as an adviser to their Dealer Technology Committee. After retiring from Spruce Computers in 2009, but still having a passion to serve the industry, Rich founded LBM Employer Services. Recognizing a void in our industry for a complete and comprehensive Payroll and Human Resource solution, and in partnership with Apex Payroll, the new enterprise was started. Our partner, who has been providing Payroll solutions for thousands of clients since 1989, recently launched a new web based product (Software-as-a Service), developed on Microsoft.NET technology, utilizing SQL Server 2008.
